Manny, the dog whose leg we saved two weeks ago, needs help again.
I got a text from the caretaker last night, saying that they haven't removed the bandage yet, and that there's a foul smell that emanates from the leg now. The bandage should have been removed on Jan. 30! It's been 8 days since the time they were supposed to take it off. We gave clear instructions that the bandage should come off, while antibiotics are being given at the same time.
They said that Manny is very fierce and didn't want to be touched, that is why they can't take it off. I just wish they had texted earlier so that we could have made a trip last week when the damage is not severe yet. I have no way of contacting them as there is no signal in the DENR, and the caretaker only borrowed her son's phone to contact me last night.
We don't know how his leg is, but our priority is to remove the bandage and check the extent of the damage on his leg. We were supposed to go last night but we couldn't get anyone to drive for us. It's about a 2-hour drive from Manila.
NOW, WE NEED HELP, TOO. WE NEED SOMEONE TO TAKE US THERE. Dr. Riza and I are willing to go. I still can't get anyone to drive for us as everyone's busy. This is some kind of an emergency :(
Also, I am thinking of getting Manny (maybe temporarily) out of there so that we can monitor his health better in Manila. Anyone who is willing to foster Manny?
Please holler at me: meow @ pawsomecats dot com
Thank you so much!
